Robot voices with cute little animal ‘toons. One has a brain and uses it, and the other is a tea partier.

Tuesday is election day, and we have a big choice — take all our marbles and stay home like pissy children, or get our asses to the polling places and vote Democratic. Or else, these people are going to making a lot of decisions you’ll live even less than the ones Obama made.

Vote Dem or talk to the boot

I woke up this morning to the news that Tim Proffit, aka the Head Stomper, thinks Lauren Valle should apologize to him because she started it.

“I don’t think it’s that big of a deal,” Profitt said. “I would like for her to apologize to me to be honest with you.”

To be honest with y’all, I would have been more surprised if he hadn’t come out with this statement. I have never had the misfortune of having my head stomped on by someone who could not control their actions or their anger, but I have been asked to apologize for turning in my step-father for sexually abusing me for seven years. There is just nothing quiet like coming face to face with the complete lack of conscience of an abuser.

Over the top?

I would have said that about the Citizen United ruling too, but that seemed almost easy for RepubliCorp to pull off. This video from Move On is pretty entertaining but makes some valid points. I totally think Palin would attack Norway if given the chance. Please vote.

The modern day “Hester” w...

According to Columbia South Carolina Catholic Priest, Rev. Jay Scott Newman “Our nation has chosen for its chief executive the most radical pro-abortion politician ever to serve in the United States Senate or to run for president, Barack Hussein Obama and supporting him “constitutes material cooperation with intrinsic evil.” and he has instructed his parishioners they should refrain from receiving Holy Communion if they voted for Obama. They can, of course, do penance for the sin of exercising their right to vote for Obama, but failing to do so would be putting their immortal Soul at risk of eternal damnation.

Newman:

“Persons in this condition should not receive Holy Communion until and unless they are reconciled to God in the Sacrament of Penance, lest they eat and drink their own condemnation”

The arc of the moral Universe is long

We are just around the corner from what many believe is yet another defining moment of our time. I’m sure everyone remembers a time not that long ago when sitting out voting in an election didn’t “seem” to have much of an impact on our lives. Was it that we felt so comfortable with our democratic center holding by default that we could afford to focus our attention elsewhere? I think that was the case for me and combined with the added distractions of just living I wasn’t really paying attention to what was going on in the halls of power. The arc of the moral Universe seemed to be making it’s bend towards justice for all people, albeit painfully slowly.

My wake up call was 9/11. I won’t bore you with my conspiracy theories on what I believe happened that day, but a decade later much of our nation is still awakening from that consciousness jarring event. I woke up wondering what had led us to this dangerous new world where we were told our freedoms were less important than our security and we must give chunks of it away in order to be safe from those who hate us for it! That didn’t make sense to me and I began to educate myself about what had been going on while I was not paying attention and what I discovered was truly frightening.
