Join Jacob Dean, Kenny Pick, LeftNeck Chick, and Shane-O as we broadcast from 7pm Eastern on December 16th through 7pm Eastern on December 17th. We will highlight multiple Occupy charities throughout the country, and give you the links where you can show your support.

Amy Ray and The Shadow Boxers do Asheville

My girl and I had a great time at the Amy Ray show last night. I missed getting to be at Local Edge Radio for her pre-show interview, but I had to be at my paying job yesterday afternoon. I did get to meet her girlfriend at the show and gave her my card to pass along to Amy with an invitation to visit us at AWOP Radio. Who knows if she will ever see it or not, but I tried. I would love to talk to her about her music that has meant so much to me over the past two decades. I might get my Lesbian card revoked for admitting to this, but I was a bit late to the Indigo Girls party. I first heard them when my girlfriend at the time sent me their CD “Indigo Girls” while I was stationed in Germany during the first Gulf War. I credit that CD with helping me get through those months, well, that and the best food and beer on earth.

Her opening band The Shadow Boxers, also from Atlanta GA, were fabulous and I did get a confirmation from them for a future show appearance. I think you will really enjoy these guys!
