AWOP Radio is changing and here’s how:

As you may have already heard this little grassroots radio show is going to one hour a week and will continue to be available by podcast download. It’s been a great 8 months with my awesome co-hosts Momma Politico and Allie McNeil, but logistics and the interest of my home life have made it necessary to free up my Sundays for things like spur of the moment camping trips and weekend get aways with my sweetie. The benefits and flexibility of doing a podcast instead of a live show are many, including no more last minute rescheduling of guests due to problems with Skype. The downside is that logistically scaling back the show to one hour means I will be saying goodbye to my awesome co-hosts and going it solo, but I am very happy to have had this time with them and I hope they will continue do share their wisdom and humor via online media.

I am very glad that Allie decided to start the 99 Report as a stand alone show so we can all continue to enjoy the fine work she is doing with the concept of sharing the stories and struggles of the 99 Percent. Momma Politico has an awesome new site where she hopes to be writing more. Momma Politico is in the beginning stages of her Doctoral program and was also feeling the time with family pinch with the live show on Sundays. I will be to helping her transition her Kitchen Table Politics segment to her own show as well when she gets a chance to look at that project. That show will be included in on our AWOP Radio Rss feed when available.
