Just a tiny little mistake anyone could have made

Chris Wallace asked Michele Bachmann whether she is a flake and has since been falling all over himself apologizing for such a rude question. It wasn’t really rude though. It was the just the wrong question. He should have asked whether she is stupid or just ignorant. Bachmann, now running for president on the “I’m just as clueless as you are” ticket, has a long list of misstatements and outright lies on her resume. Most recently, she stood in Waterloo, Iowa, and claimed to have the spirit of Waterloo native son John Wayne. Problem is, John Wayne is from Winterset, Iowa, some distance away. But we can’t be too hard on Michele. It was an understandable mistake. She just got the wrong John Wayne. It’s serial killer John Wayne Gacy who’s from Waterloo. Now that’s some spirit to have. And I’ll put my money on ignorant.
