Hypocrisy at work

Gov. Rick “Goodhair” Perry came out with a perfectly logical statement the other day. He said he was “fine” with New York’s same-sex marriage law, seeing as how marriage should be the states’ prerogative. That, unfortunately got him into hot water with his hypocritical Christianist buddies, cuz, see, states’ rights doesn’t work like that. States’ rights is for banning things they don’t like, not letting some states allow them. So states can ban abortion and ban whites from marryin’ blacks, but cannot allow them queers to marry each other. Oh, and states’ rights can be used to allow slavery. Here’s Joe Farrah, founder of Wing Nut Daily:” In fact, I will do all I can to warn the American people away from him. [snip] Evidently I was fooled by Rick Perry. I freely admit it. I feel unclean for the nice things I have said about him to date. Forgive me.” And he’s not the only one.
