Discrimination legal in Tennessee

Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam — whom, I’m sad to say, I encouraged my parents to vote for (better him than Zach Wamp — they were never going to vote for the Democrat) — signed a bill into law yesterday making it illegal to pass non-discrimination laws for gay men and lesbians. Way to go, man! Nothing like using your office to back up the stupidity of your legislature. State legislatures are, by nature, full of stupid little people with stupid little fears. But to go along with it? Seriously, Bill. Your church really is a cult.
