Our President, whom I both voted for and think is doing better than any Republican I can imagine would do in similar circumstances, has a lot of things on his desk according to a recent SF Chronicle article. The economy, the wars, the state of education, and Iran. Sounds messy.
He’s got too much stuff to attend to more immediately than a repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, Don’t Pursue, the very pussy-policy “compromise” made by then-President Bill Clinton an eon ago.
Lately Obama has reminded me of that old Rolling Stones song, “Waiting on a Friend.” He’s just hangin’ out, watching the ladies go by while he waits for someone to tell him to move his ass. I’ll grow old waiting. Hell, look at the gray hair popping out as I write this.
According to his National Security Advisor, James Jones, President Obama will get around to making it happen “at the right time.” He was unclear as to when that would be exactly.
Yo Prez! Check out my desk! It’s messy. It’s got a little bit of this and a little bit of that strewn all over – all unfinished projects or things I forgot to put away. All really, really important too. But, you know what?
I have a plan for all of it – a way to make it all happen so my desk is clear and my stuff is dealt with – ‘cause you know why? At my house, the buck stops with me. I can make an executive decision and issue an order anytime I think I need to. I am DA MAN in this house. Hear what I’m sayin’?
